The present volume, in which Brunner has again been admirably served by his English translator, Olive Wyon, exhibits those qualities which distinguish everything that comes from his pen. Brunner is a born teacher; the facility with which he handles his materials, the orderliness of his thought and the clarity with which he expounds it must excite the envy of every theologian. I t is just a question whether he does not suffer from the defects of his qualities, whether, in other words, things are always quite so clear as he makes them appear
