Next to the Bible, this two-volume biography of Hudson Taylor is the most important book I have ever read. Yes, that is a bold statement. But the impact it had on me was profound. I always caution new readers of this book to not let the first part of it get them bogged down. The author is meticulous about documentation and so the narrative moves very slowly. But the documentation is necessary to lay a firm foundation for the rest of the book. Trust me, making it through the first part of the book will be well worth your efforts..
