Theology For Everyman is an excellent introduction to Systematic Theology.Mr.Gerstner asserts that every layman must be a Theologian because a Theologian is 'a person who knows about God'. The author's reasoning is that if a person is not a Theologian then they do not know God. That is not to say that every lay Theologian is saved(we must not be hearers only of the Word,but we must be doers of the Word).What the writer is saying is p.12 "A layman may have knowledge of God and not be saved,but he can never be saved without knowledge of God..
