This large collection of brief articles, originally delivered to the seminary students of B. B. Warfield, the great Princeton scholar, should be the spiritual meat of all Christians who have come to realize that, by virtue of their faith, they are “in the enemy’s country—not householders at home, but soldiers on duty, pilgrims on their journey” (p. 132.) The articles are fairly informal in tone, but never unruly in that chummy sense you find between professors and students today. And the content is never trivial..
