The use of the Bible in Christian ethics
In recent American scholarship there has been a troublesome gap between biblical studies and Christian ethics. The gap is not an indication of a lack of interest in substantive exchanges between the two specialties. There are biblical scholars who devote considerable energy to ethical questions, and there are students of Christian ethics who are deeply concerned about the rootage of their basic convictions in biblical faith.
