This book was actually written by his son, William R. Moody, as you can see in the picture of the front of the book. Moody grew up under dire circumstances, as his mother was left a widow with 7 children. But his mother taught them how to love God and their neighbor, and Dwight Moody became one of the great evangelists of the nineteenth century. He had neither education nor wealth, but he humbled himself before the Lord, and the Lord used him mightily to reach hundreds of thousands in his day..
