The letters of Paul: conversations in context, 3E
his book was easy to read and understand, but it explains in great detail these facts we learned. It goes over history, textual and cultural criticisms, format of the letters, and so forth. As an example of what types of things you'll learn about the letters, it'll help you be able to determine Paul's moods while writing the letters by noticing things such as when he didn't include the section of thanksgiving or when he made that section too long. Don't read this expecting spiritual enlightenment, read this expecting to understand who Paul was and why he wrote his letters the way he did.
