The Humanistic Tradition, vlms 1-3 are good choices for professors and teachers who are teaching an introductory to humanities. The volumns cover all of fields of the humanities but focuses mainly on the religions and cultures moreso than the literature and history. The coverage of the history and the exerpts from literary sources could be more expanded and could use better translations. Yet, there are many pictures of beautiful pieces of artwork and architecture coming from the various cultures and time periods covered.
