This book is great refresher at a time when Christians have completely lost focus on what God's Grace really means. Today, the vast majority of Christians have substituted their works for Grace--thinking about the great things they are doing for God instead of what God has already done for us in His Grace. Such Christian thinking is the future "wood, hay and stubble" to be burned off at the Judgment seat of Christ--not loss of salvation, rather a symbol of a wasted Christian life void of future rewards in heaven. What is "wood, hay and stubble"? You don't have to look any further than Isa. 64:6 "...our righteousnesses are like filthy rags". Christians are substituting their righteousnesses (their good works) as a substitute for God's Righteousnesses.
