The heart could never speak: existentialism and faith..
The poem itself is extraordinarily simple, or seems so. Only nine of its words are more than one syllable in length, and even they are such straight-forward words as "spoken," "unbroken," and "merciful." Its rhymes are as elementary as "art" and "heart", "said" and "dead", and "saya" and "way." It speaks to us in simple sentences..
