Amos is a conman, always on the lookout for the next big "dodge" he can pull off. Needing a disguise, he spots some preachers clothes on a clothesline, complete with the white collar and all. What better disguise could there possibly be? Amos grabs the clothes and is on his way.
What Amos didn't count on was his disguise working so well that the town of Quiet Valley takes him for a circuit riding preacher, and expects him to preach and hold church services! Having just held up the stagecoach coming into town, he can't very well leave town without raising suspicions, no matter how good his new disguise is. Never having been to church himself, he starts to poke around town, trying to find out..
