Martin Luther and the birth of Protestantism
This author does an admirable job of letting Martin Luther speak for himself through his writings -which are numerous. You really get a feel for how Martin Luther viewed his time and what he was actually trying to accomplish. The path of Martin Luther's journey through the Bible and how he draws on his conclusions are truly inspiring as is his unwillingness to just get along. You see a humble man who never intended to be a catalyst for Protestantism. Martin Luther simply wanted to follow God's Word.
