Hindus and Christians: a century of Protestant ecumenical..
Tracing the developments within the modern ecumenical movement in the Christian attitude toward Hinduism, Wesley Ariarajah argues that though this new focus on community has given fresh impetus to Christian-Hindu relations, it has left a theological vacuum in regard to the basis for such relations.
What options do Christians have at their disposal for filling this vacuum? Ariarajah evaluates a number of historical and contemporary options, concluding that a fundamental reappraisal of the relevant areas of theology is an essential prerequisite for understanding the relationship between Christians and Hindus today.
