The new chosen people: a corporate view of election
Old Testament theology stands firmly on the bedrock of God's election of Israel. Election is presumed and pervasive, and finds explicit expression in many ways and places. The Old Testament writes unashamedly exclaim that Yahweh, the one true God, has chosen Israel out of all the nations of the word to be his own people. They call him, the God of Israel, and in their Scriptures he call himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
