Through the ages in Palestinian archaeology: an introductory.., c.1-2
This book explain what archaeology can and cannot do in language that all can understand. The author has cast his chronology broadly enough to include the dawn of history until the Islamic era and has dared to write about ancient Palestine as a single area of the ancient Near East separated only by the Jordan River and the diverse cultures that inhabited it. Most important, he has successfully communicated for the first time how important that area and its material culture through the ages is to the three religious communities that hallow the land and the events that occurred there.
