Text
Church life in England in the thirteenth century
The first part of the book deals with the secular clergy, the rectors and vicars of parishes and their subordinates, the second part deals with the members of religious orders. Though the inquiry is limited to the customs and lives of men of the Church it is of course, an essential part of wider social history.
